Suggestions:
- If you're looking for an artist, why don't you just commission the guy whose name is on your Stable Diffusion model? They literally name those things after the artists they were trained on.
- Likewise, please hire a real programmer. There are two, sometimes three moving objects on the screen. There's no excuse for it to run at one frame per second in the web browser. I couldn't figure out how any of my moves worked, because every time I clicked, the situation had completely changed by the next frame when the attack actually triggered.
- Despite all of this, I have to give you credit. You managed to pull it all together into a somewhat coherent package. The characters look distinct, share a cohesive style, seem like they belong in the same universe as each other, and have the correct number of fingers on each hand. That's literally the nicest possible thing I can say about AI art, so enjoy it.
- But... man, your branding is on-point. The animated background on the page, the obnoxious double entendres in the menus, the way you plug your own game at the end of your feedback to other devs... are you in marketing? I hate to admit it, but this is all on-brand.
- Likewise, there's some gamefeel here. And I'm not sure how that's even possible in a game where I can barely even tell if I'm controlling it or not. There's a lot of weight to the impacts, even though there's little to no juice (or I couldn't appreciate the juice because it had already cleared the screen by the time the next frame after an impact rendered.)
- There even almost feels like there's a setting here. The music grew on me, even though it seems a bit cheerful for a death sport. The voice acting was mostly good, and again, the characters I heard each felt pretty distinct from my pilot, yet like they belonged together.
- In conclusion, I am mildly annoyed that you somehow made an AI game enjoyable. I hope that one day you're able to rip out all the AI art and code and whatever else and replace it with real game.
- AI aside, the core idea underneath is a hot mess of jank and thirst, and we love it for it. Don't ever change. ā”
