Hey not sure if its too late for your visual novel, but I'd love for you to build your game on Orbem Studio. It's a no-code web game engine that let's you build your game visually with a free hosted url. You can even build it with others with live collaboration and a built in chat feature. There is a built in pixel art tool as well that lets you draw and insert directly into game assets. All Orbem Studio games can be exported as well for hosting on Itch.io or Steam, so you can monetize it however you want while maintaining the free url for building/testing/sharing.
