Few questions regarding the poisoning thing.

1 - Does it only happen with the parasites?

2 - Does the purify spell dispel the damage over time thing? (Lotus, Ginseng, and White Tiger has it)

3 - Is there anything specific that you or the enemy does before the poison occurs?

4 - I checked Rei And Gillino, and nothing seems to be up with them. Who was the other person on your party? (If Otter or Carp (during quest) was also there, then let me know)

5 - Is this happening with Leon too?

6 - Would you happen to have the Shard of Melancholy equipped on someone? (Not sure if you defeated the new super boss yet) Since when equipped it slowly drains your HP and MP.

Sorry for all of the trouble I am putting you through with this damage over time thing, I am unsure of what it could possibly be. Since I double checked any new states or moves I used and they are all normal and I am unsure why it happens with the parasite. I hope at least one of these questions answers what is going on or at least helps me single other options out.

1 -yes as far as i have currently tested only parasites cause it

2-no purify will heal the damage but not clear the unmarked status (i also tried the blast cleanser to no effect)

3- yes, after repeated testing it was the sweep attack that caused it but only if it downed its target. (the parasite downed Luca with dark orb a few times and Flavius with silence once, no effect on ether when they were revived and healed to check for dot damage) Edit: the debuff resets if the affected unit is downed by the sweep skill from the parasite. If downed by any other source the debuff does not refresh, it continues at which ever point it was at times and D.o.t wise once the unit is revived.

4- i have shuffled my party a few times testing but the 1st time i noticed was with Rei, Gillino, Ace, and Luca. after reshuffling my party to Heckrona, Ace, Luca, and Flavius , Ace went down to the sweep attack and Luca to dark orb but only Ace was effected with the debuff

5- no. when Leon goes down to the parasite ('s sweep attack at least) i get an instant game over 'taken over by the parasite' ending

6- yes i did have the new shard on Gillino but Rei was the 1st unit effected , and i did not notice anything wrong with Gillino till he went down to the parasite and was revived (unlike HP loss though items with a natural drain, the debuff ticks the screen red like when taking poison damage)

no worries, i'm doing the easy part of bug hunting. exploring, enjoying, and messing with in game things in multiple ways. you got the challenging part of understanding what when wrong why, and if and how to fix it.

Okay, after a lot of looking around in the many different states (effects). I have one last different idea on what it could possibly be.

I think it is drowning. The reason is because you claimed Ace and Luca fell. However, Ace was the only one affected (This makes me think it is drowning because Luca is immune to it unlike Ace). While it could be poison, you would see the icon for poison (looks like green gas). However, you said that purify did not work, I realized it could not be the poison effect like I suspected the most.

What I actually think it is after looking deeper into this, is that within RPG Maker, usually having the "resist (insert state)" tag makes it so it is impossible to obtain that state. I was under the impression that if I added that tag to the water breathing state, that it would simply auto-remove the state. However, it does not do that, it just makes it impossible to have it re-applied (so if you already were drowning, but have water breathing, you would still have it, but would not be able to get it again). The reason why this state wouldn't appear is because the drowning and water breathing share the same icon (I will change it in this next update to something else since I don't know why I thought that was a good idea when making this system). So what I am going to do is make it so the potion will also remove the drowning state since I am now aware that resist doesn't get rid of it (In the next update). In the next update, I would like it if you could test this again to see if I am correct. Thank you for your patience as I have now learned something new (Thankfully this was the only state I did this resist thing on so it is a very easy fix, shame finding it wasn't as easy)!
