What a charming little game, I got 4/9 questions, Didnt even know you could click on the talking critter until the last question of who blew up the pentagon, and I knew immidiately lmfaoo.
This reminds me like on of thoes videos where a group of peoeple is doing something and a dude in a gorilla costume runs trough the shot but no one notices it on the first watch .
The gameplay loop is really simple but the designs and such are stimulating enough that they keep your attention for the 60 seconds, the first round I just listened to the talking critter and was confused as to what you have to even do in the game since I was constnatly trying to click on the critters, but nothing really happened until I got to the questioning part, I didnt really trust the talking critter after that, its annoying but I think the game would be super empty without this overlyfriendly character (Edit: I fogot what the theme was for this jam..)... Maybe a super short tutroial or just an explentaion that you first observe them and then say who is the culprit
It could have been a bit better telegraphed, like more sound effects for each action just so you know something happened while you were looking at some other point, I missed most of the things even happening and some of the stuff was just way too hard to see, like the pink ice cream :p but the game does not have a strict win state and even if you get 0 points, the little overarching story of the talking critter makes this a fun little project nontheless.
Some of the buttons are not as responsive, took a few clicks to select a critter...
I don't have much bad to say about the game, it was resonably small scoped game and all the important parts of the game got the polish they needed, its a very short and satisfying experience!
Good job
