actually, I know this may sound sudden, but I get where you’re getting at and I’m sorry for commenting that :p I wasn’t considerate enough, so you have every right to be mad at me. People like you already have it hard, and comments like that only put more pressure on you. You’re right, it’s not like we’re paying for this project, we’re getting it for free, so we shouldn’t complain about it. It’s not like they ripped us off or something.
Don't apologize to that person. They had absolutely 0 reason to be as much of a douche to the people they're responding to in these comments are you apology for standing up for someone just makes them feel justified. It IS difficult to make these types of things, however if you promise monthly updates (I am a patron and a large number of others are) then you absolutely can complain about the lack of content
A ton of creators go on long hiatuses and most of them aren't as communicative as this stream is. Yes, some people are reading for free and some people are paying but, regardless of your situation, coming into comment threads to attack people and telling them that they're "the reason why games die" just makes you a terrible person and what's wrong with this community.
TLDR; Everyone is entitled to their opinion and shouldn't be attacked for it. Saying "If you don't like it, you try doing it" is a stupid deflective argument that people who have nothing better to contribute say to try and make themselves feel good. It's been a year without updates, let people complain and stop white knighting for a group that doesn't know you exist
I did find it wrong that he insulted people in the first place but since they worked these types of things I thought maybe I'm just not understanding this and I should step out and apologize. not my fish to fry.
