Want to install the game on your Playdate? It’s super easy!

1️⃣ Download the game ZIP file from itch.io.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Do NOT unzip or extract the file! You need to upload the ZIP file exactly as you downloaded it, still compressed.

2️⃣ Go to the official Playdate sideloading page: https://play.date/account/sideload/

Log in to your Playdate account, then simply drag and drop the ZIP file onto the page.

3️⃣ Get your Playdate ready 🎮

Make sure your Playdate is:

• connected to Wi-Fi
• fully up to date
• and has enough battery

4️⃣ On your Playdate, go to:

Library → Sideloaded Games

You should see the game you just added there.

5️⃣ Select the game → download it → install it → PLAY! 🎉

And that’s it! 🥳

If the game doesn’t appear immediately, leave your Playdate connected to Wi-Fi for a few moments and check your library again.

🔌 Installing the game via USB

You can also install the game directly via USB!

1️⃣ Connect your Playdate to your computer using a USB cable.

2️⃣ On your Playdate, go to:

Settings → System → Reboot to Data Disk

Your Playdate will then appear on your Mac or Windows PC as an external drive.

3️⃣ Open the Playdate drive on your computer.

Go to the Games folder and simply drag and drop the game files into it.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Unlike the Wi-Fi method, this time you DO need to unzip/extract the ZIP file first.

You should end up with the game folder/files inside the Playdate Games folder.

4️⃣ Safely eject the Playdate from your computer. Use your computer’s normal Eject / Safely Remove option before disconnecting it.

5️⃣ Your Playdate will restart and return to normal mode. 🎮

The game should now appear in your Library.

And you're ready to play! 🥳

💡 Tip: If the Playdate asks you to confirm leaving Data Disk mode, follow the instructions shown on the Playdate screen.
