Just some feedback, I'm not sure if you are intentionally disabling mouse pointer?
When selecting Browse button on steamdeck, the trackpad is disabled and Steamdeck opens a file dialog (very tiny text).
You have to interact with this using touchscreen (close to impossible), so only option is to connect a bluetooth mouse at which point you can control the mouse and select the gog dir.
Would be better to disable mouse after the data files have been located.
