Since the glorious days of Ultima 7 (and to a lesser, but still very laudable extent, Gothic 2, which is - to my knowledge - the only game that really seems to have taken the Origin mantras seriously) I longed, nay - craved for a game that implemented such detailed NPC and environment reactivity. I'll have to test the demo this evening.
Minor atmospheric detail: I notice that birds are chirping during night time but I guess ambient sound could still change in later versions.
The game world seems only to move when your character moves, otherwise it stands still. I know that that's a design decision and perfectly fine, personally I loved the fact that in Ultima VII the world didn't stop running when you stood still. I also notice that there doesn't seem to be a visibility system (you can see everything that's going on behind walls). Personally I prefer it when I'm restricted to the same visual limits as the game character, I feel it enhances immersion. But these are only my personal preferences. I'm sure the game will be fantastic and I already sort my money. ;)
