I liked it except for the part where I couldn't complete any level under budget. Any tips? I'd love to try again

I’m glad you liked it despite that.

There is unfortunately a snowball effect when things start to go bad that make it harder to pull out of.

Because your budget gets cut if you go under, I think the ideal is aiming for the budget from the start so you give yourself some wiggle room as you progress.

It’s intentional that there is a pause at the start of each quarter to give yourself the chance to figure out what kind of path you want to take. With the changing cost knowing how you can push up towards budget cap is a good way to position yourself.

If you go too low under budget to begin with, as the cost goes up per move you’re going to almost always go over budget.

Hope that helps! Let me know

I do have the problem where it only gives me one move to complete a very obviously multiple move puzzle, is there a solution for this?

From the get go you want to try take as many moves as you can without going over budget.

It’s a little bit tricky that getting exact budget is the goal rather than getting under budget.

If you’re under budget you get punished for the next rounds by having as much as you’d used when you went under.

So if you took 4 moves and spent 4 of your budget, that means next time you’ll only get a budget of 4. But with increase cost of move that means you can’t actually get in under budget anymore.

Oh! That helps a lot, thanks!
