I see in the statistics a 5 punch count solution for 2. In-Out. Is this really the case or just wrong data?

It really is the case! Here is a hint: if the game did not force the starting solution on you, you could solve it with 2 punches

Maybe I’m missing something here. The starting solution has 3 punch holes that I’m not able to remove. A cross is shown on top of those 3 holes. I’ve tried clicking on them (in case it was just showing the wrong cursor) but they don’t go away anyway. The only way I can see a 2 hole solution would be to have the ability to delete lines and remove the holes at the end. None of them seem to be available.

Sorry my answer was not very clear. Yes, the 2-punch solution is not possible given you you can't delete lines. However, the last line of the 5-punch solution looks exactly like the 2-punch solution (if it were possible). It relies on the same trick you use to solve level 3. Start with 0.
