Thank you for your comment pufferfish! The whole idea was heavily inspired by science and how most of our nowadays plants happened to exist: By random selective breeding. The plant that survives persist. Until we humans found out we can combine bacteria and genes from different plants and crossbreed those to be even stronger and more resilient. It was enjoyable working on this!
