The mentality of the people in charge of dictating moral high ground to the world never fail to amaze me with their hypocrisy...
Full on AAA titles out there promoting murder, dismemberment, theft, psychological horror... but it's fiction, so it's all good... realism, right?
Mind control? Omg, you MONSTER... (yeah, so it's fictional, too, but it's just too real, right... ?)
Nevermind how many of these payment processors engage in snooping our data, sharing our spending habits amongst one another-- all so they can control what we see/buy in adverts aimed at the weaknesses they find in the data.
I think it far more likely that these people trying to tell us what's good for us don't want us drawing any parallels to their own methods of control.
