Which level are you talking about? In the levels with shadows, there should be lanterns that let you see for about 7 seconds!
Kinda all of them? I'm not sure I've gotten to the lantern levels yet. I can barely see the main character in my screenshot. Or maybe make the gloom a little tighter, smaller in radius? I've played around with my display settings, but I don't think that's the issue. I know you're going for mysterious atmosphere, but it might be too mysterious. xD
Ah, in the starting level, there’s simply nothing there, it’s just the wall that keeps you from falling off the level.
I could try increasing the torches' range or adding another one to make it brighter.
Yeah, I tried to make the dungeon as dark as possible, even in the levels without torches. A bit too mysterious XD
