This is one of the most unhinged RPGs I've ever read. Taking "Tannin" and running with this is a double stroke of brilliance and madness. And I kind of love it. I barely understand the rules, but it's got tons of faction play possibilities with the added challenge of engaging in fights without disrespecting the sanctity of the dinner table. The maillard faction is especially funny.
