OOF this game hits hard. I really respect your ability to go there without it feeling like it's crossing lines. Definitely, I am grateful for the content warnings and they should be heeded, but it's an important message that rings through within the discomfort. And I don't think the message would ring as strongly without the discomfort.

I don't think I could play this again, but my feelings while I played it the first time will stick with me.

The mixture of the toxic POV and the metaphor for the bindings of perceived femininity were so striking. I could feel the vile justification in every word of the POV voice. And the implicit, always there, stark reality of the girls inability to speak for herself. Feels almost like it takes "haunting the narrative" to it's most extreme interpretation. Like I could imagine how angry or upset she would be at every step of the game. But of course she cannot speak for herself now. Only the Protag can. And their words were so vile and self serving. This constant pushing of this narrative, that this girl died not only "for" something, but for the Protag. To be found here. As a gift. Like as if it all boils down to the Protags wishes and thoughts, as if that's the pulling force of the whole universe. As if she's just a prop in their game of life.

It's not easy to write from such an gross POV. I'm sorry for you you had to go there, in writing. To me, it's not easy even if you do it so, so well.
