I enjoyed this! Lumber Tycoon 2 is very nostalgic for me, and it's good to see an alternative that's basically the same but doesn't require Roblox. That being said, I do have a lot of feedback.
Major issues
- There are a lot of annoyances and issues caused by not having trucks. For example, it's entirely not worth it to process wood, since having to transport each piece individually means it takes so much extra effort for not very much extra reward. After processing my first tree, I didn't even bother processing any more. It also makes going for far-away trees like the fire trees a huge pain, since you usually need to chop them into lots of pieces so have to go back and forth multiple times.
- The Linux version has massive visual glitches when running in Gaming Mode on a Steam Machine (which is strange, considering it runs fine with no issues in Desktop Mode).
Medium issues
- You can run into the side of the money machine to sell wood instead of needing to put it on the belt, and it doesn't have collision so you don't need to trim trees to fit them in. I actually really like having to think about the size of wood I'm putting in the machines, so this felt pretty bad.
- I expanded my plot twice but it counted as three times for the quest.
- If unprocessed wood got stuck in the processor, it wouldn't let me grab it to get it unstuck, and I also couldn't cut the wood in places close the the processor entrance.
Minor issues
- Having to jump to get onto the path in front of the shop when it's only a tiny ledge is very unintuitive.
- I'd like to be able to use left-click to progress dialogue with the plot salesman.
- The black void cloud in machines (the processor and the money machine) extends past the machine's limits, causing visual glitches, especially from a distance.
- There's no feedback if you try to extend your plot without having enough money, it just silently fails.
All of this being said, I'm genuinely very excited to follow this game's development. The lack of vehicles is literally the only reason I'm not already sinking a few hours into this for some mindless fun - every other complaint is minor compared to the lack of vehicles. Right now playing this just makes me want to play Lumber Tycoon 2, but hopefully with some improvements it can stand on its own as a great version of the same formula.
(Also, while I'm here... could you update Better Overclocking to the latest Satisfactory patch? It's broken at the moment, I came to your Discord to ask about it and found this game instead :P)
