Well done! I enjoyed the concept. It made the game feel more "real" considering I couldn't do whatever I wanted. I could totally see this as part of a broader game that involves your decision making as the captain working with the crew and headquarters. There could even be separate rankings based on how much mission command likes you and how much the crew likes you and that affects how likely both are going to comply with your wishes. If you go against them, or don't run it by them then your ranking goes down, but you can get stuff done sooner.
Obviously, we only had 48 hours, so I wouldn't expect all this to be in there, but it totally could be a small piece in a grand game.
