Well that was a sudden change up with the school and whatnot... ngl, idk how to feel about it. Neat new mechanics n stuff, but story-wise it feels morbidly out of place for what the beginning of the story was like :o
I could excuse the Eldrite stuff being forced the way it was with it being a different dimension and you just happened to pop in when things were hitting the fan, but this? This is almost painfully forced. Found myself wondering why MC wasn't being more open like he said he would be, but alright he might not be able to... but why is Alex not addressing it? Or Nate, who is supposed to be at least moderately smart? Lots to wrap the head around and suddenly get used to, like being on a bus then some fat guy suddenly physically kicks you out of your seat and you just sit on the floor willingly for some reason the rest of the ride >_> lots of ups and downs with the actual story of this one, but the stuff inbetween the baseball bat upside the head is nice at least. Usually.
