Nice game design! I think the only thing I personally would have done differently is give the player a little more control over the direction of the shots. That would also help improve the pacing. You’re already limited enough by the number of lives, so I would have given the player more agency by letting them choose the direction themselves.
and i missed audio, especially since that’s one of the jam’s judging criteria as well.
Other than that, really nice submission!
