Hi! A few weeks ago I direct a first session( version 8.0) and everyone had a great time with the game, congratulations for your work ^^ It was a great milestone to roleplay a pokemon game, and the pbta system works really fine with that.

I have two questions about the rules that I don't know if I understand well.
1- The only way to gain experience are a -6 roll and training? Is training the main option to gain experience directly  then?
2 - We start with level 1Pokemons and the initial low stats makes dificult to roll higher than a six, I thought maybe that's intentional, and players need to strategize, set up or aid each other to better bonus to the roll, is that correct?
I read your last devlog about add trainer and pokemon bonus in some way on next update, is because of this behaviour?

Thanks and wishing to see the next update ^^

Hi! Thank you so much! ❤️

1. Yes, They are the 2 main ways to gain Experience. Training is a way to gain some extra, but just taking actions and failing is the fastest. I think it's a big part of how pbta games keeps things moving. You must act. You either succeed or learn something ha ha.

2. ideally, yes. You will create as many advantages with the other Plays and bonuses as you can to succeed. I set the starting stats so low because if someone used all the other Plays and bonuses that were available, they could potentially get a +3 or 4 to there rolls!

However, in my current playtesting game, the other players have been saying the low Stats don't feel good. So I will be changing them in the next update. After I balance out the probabilities.

In the meantime, I just gave every character an extra 3 points to put where ever they liked. That seemed to make it more fun for everyone in my game ;)

Thanks for your quick answer ! hoping to have some free time soon to run a full campaign ^^
