My favorite part of the game was how emotionally affecting it managed to be! The first time I played I didn't really understand the mechanics so when I saw one of the babies get snatched away I wasn't sure how bad it was... it was only later that I realized that the permanent number of ducklings was dwindling from level to level. I wasn't good enough at the platforming the first time and so during the storm the sun just set lower and lower until everything faded into the night, and I ended the game with just one duckling... Learning how to make it work the next time was fun, and I realized level 2 was easier because I could actually bop the hawks. Then the last level appeared and I was totally unprepared lol, it was so fun and unique, there's a lot of cool visual ideas happening. I thought the platforming and control was really neat once I got more used to it, level 3 was legitimately insanely hard but when I learned how to control my position and momentum properly it was super enjoyable to do with jumps with the ducks. I also love how the ducklings sort of float down and you can use this to get this safely to places, but it also interacts with the timer in a way where if you aren't hustling and aren't super good at the movement then you can waste a lot of time or accidentally lead them into danger, it was really fun! The shadows of one's darkness leap in unique and troublesome paths, the way I found eventually for conquering them was quite ominous. Oh, and I loved the audio and visual effects in the last level especially, the storytelling was really wonderful! Thanks for how checkpointing works there also lol it woulda been so tough otherwise... Thank you for making this game!
