The game keeps players curious as they progress, though it does have a few issues:
- Staircase bug: The staircase found after entering the code "2008" is bugged. You have to mash the keys frantically to climb it.
- Cheap jump scares: The "long hallway = jump scare" trope is extremely cliché by now. While it might catch some players off guard, for many it will just elicit a bored "oh," as the tactic gets tiresome (in fact, it happens about three times).
- Puzzle design: The riddles and puzzles themselves are great, especially how they tie into the story. However, if you don't pay close attention to the dialogue before a door, you can get permanently stuck since there is no way to replay that dialogue. It would be perfect if you could interact with the door again to repeat the last three lines. This would prevent the frustration of having to restart the game from scratch just because you missed a few numbers.
- Sensitivity issues: It would be perfect if this could be adjusted, as the camera and character movement feel really odd right now.
- Collision bugs: Just a heads-up—I noticed that you can climb onto various objects if you run and press hard against them. You might want to look into that. It is not a huge issue, but I wanted to let you know.
Aside from that, I love the story! For some reason, it gives me Outlast vibes. This game definitely has potential. ★★★
