Firstly, I love the setting and the prose is so well-written and picturesque, I can almost hear the rain and smell the thick mud. Secondly, I've said this before in another review but I really love modules that doesn't read like just a list of locations and events. This has delicious seeds of drama built into the setup, and playing it with different group almost guarantees wildly different results. I haven't seen too many modules with progressive resource management elements in them, too - I said "oh shit" multiple times while reading through this. Thirdly, of course, that cover is amazing, definitely one of my favorites this jam, especially considering you painted it yourself. And lastly - I wonder if this story is a parable about something, considering the characters involved?

If I'm allowed one criticism, I think I would put the "Reading the Game" paragraph right after the opening section, just before the box about storm exposure. But all in all, such a cool first module - can't wait to see what you'll be making next!
