option 1 - just get it done?
option 2 - to hype us for future content?
option 3 - to mock us with "ah you want those cool scenes but you have to wait a long time!"? lol

Eh, a bit of all maybe. Mostly it was because I wanted to see if i could make it work before promising it, and since I had the basics of it working it just made sense to put it in. That way I can code around it and let people earn research pts now, saving them an annoying grind if I introduced research later.
