You should call this game "Father" would be super cool and still stick to the Mother theme you had originally. Going to stream this and the themes you're talking about in this behind the scenes seem darker and more personal the an "Daddy" title you currently have. We will try the game, but if it hits any TOS for YouTube I'll have to stop. Great references to PT and MyHouse.wad, cool you are into those. And Skinamarink is a fellow Canadian filmmaker so I am surprised to see you have that as a comparable reference too. Well done, and looking forward to the game.

Thanks a lot! “Mother” in itself is an interesting one to make (but it wouldn’t fit the VHS theme as much), and I’ll probably make it someday. The title’s actually intentional! “Daddy” is meant to tie to the child’s perspective/voice in the game rather than just the father’s. Really hope the game doesn’t trip anything on the TOS side.
One small correction on references though; MyHouse.wad is perhaps the best DOOM mod there ever will be, but the one I was referring to (and I think deserves a shoutout) is this short film:
