I think this is a cool frame work for an adventure. All in all I think there was a lot of effort to be as broadly applicable as possible and it just waters the vision down. There's enough here to get a spark of inspiration and it got me thinking of how I could use something like this, which is a success for me. Great job!
I think there are some basic things with Affinity that you could pick up, like giving the text enough space from the edges of boxes and borders.
