🤖 GAME JAM AI RULES UPDATE 🤖

Hey everyone! For Nightmare on Dev Street, I want the focus to stay on creativity, learning, and actually making your own game.

AI is allowed, but its use will be limited.

AI CAN be used for: • Brainstorming ideas • Getting help debugging code • Explaining programming concepts • Placeholder assets during development • Grammar/spelling help • Getting feedback or suggestions

🚫 AI SHOULD NOT be used to: • Generate your entire game • Generate the majority of your game's code • Create all of your final artwork, characters, environments, or animations • Generate an entire soundtrack or voice cast and present it as your own work • Submit a game that was primarily created through AI prompts

🎮 The important rule: You should be the main creator of your game.

AI should be a tool that helps you create, not the person creating the game for you.

If you use AI-generated content in your final submission, please disclose what AI was used for on your game page.

The goal isn't to ban AI — it's to make sure this jam showcases your ideas, your skills, and your creativity.

Thanks everyone, and have fun creating something terrifying. 👁️🔥
