I know I'm a bit late to this game but I have to admit it's the best visual novel I've ever played it tops my list of favorites. While Tor's characterization is somewhat vague, the writing is superb, and the game offers remarkable depth regarding its time loop mechanics. Although the third ending feels a bit unresolved leaving player unclear about Tor background or appearance, it succeeds brilliantly in leberating both Ian and Tor from the tourment of the loop. It's a shame the game can't be replayed after reaching that third ending, but considering it signifies freedom from suffering for both characters, prehaps that is for the best. I hope that in the future, you'll create another game that sheds more light on Tor's character^^. Also , could you share a Discord link ? I noticed your Bluesky account but couldn't find a Discord link anywhere.
I’m really glad that the game resonates with you so deeply <3 Actually, Tor’s character and backstory is all detailed in draft, but due to limitations it wasn’t suitable to be implemented. That said, there is a coherent timeline shown through the postscripts of the story which I honestly hoped was enough but there are opinions that what is there is lacking.
Also, as of version 1.1, the game should have been coded to be replayable, you just need to open it again after the error screen if I remembered correctly. Of course, with the signification of the ending, I’ve also included a lore version as to why it is replayable.
For Discord, I currently do not have a server for my VN works, but I’m active in this one > https://discord.gg/nvt5my8J8E and my future works will likely be discussed there too.
Regarding that error screen I saw at the end of Ending 3—if I were to ignore it, would the game prevent me from playing again? I managed to reset the game using my own method, even though it was a bit of a hassle. Also, thanks for the Discord link; even though it isn't specifically for visual novels, it's still pretty good ^^
Thank you^^. I still hope you might create another game that gives Tor a chance to truly show himself. Although he is described quite clearly in the various endings, he is only actually visible in Endings 1 and 2—the ones we actively steered the story toward. In Ending 3, however, the player loses control and Tor takes the lead, yet we never get to see him; consequently, I’m not entirely sure what he looks like. I realize this is a long shot and might never happen, but I would love to see a scenario—perhaps in a parallel universe where they survived the accident, or in a future life—that explores what kind of personality and choices Tor would have ^^
