Would really like to play this game, but every time I try it says "a referral was returned from the server" never had that happen before, tried running as admin and it did nothing.

Yeah, it is, I ended up fixing it by modifying some obscure ass system file from 1 to 0 to disable a windows authenticity check, incredible game btw, absolutely gonna buy the full release. Well at least I would, I have a bf now 💀. If anyone's curious I went to regedit and followed this path "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System" and turned ValidateAdminCode from 1 to 0, fixed the issue, Im sure theres some coding guide that could teach you how to fix it but I dont know jack about coding.

And I know what the fix is, but the fix would be me having to cough up 500 bucks a year for a digital signature for the exe. These signing certificates feel like a scam. If you don’t pay, you don’t get a signing certificate. No signing certificate? Then you're not trusted.
