Really nice verisimilitude design aspects while still keeping all the information usable. Had to laugh when reading through and saw the word culinary, thinking it was a odd choice, and then reading further and seeing marinade and realizing it actually was correct, just unexpected. The animal behavior hinting at the actual soul inhabiting the bodies was a nice touch too.
