What a lovely game <3 And storytelling without any words! Love all the little details and mini-quests like the taking the gators home <3 Also it's funny cuz as soon as I opened my map for the first time I doodled a little rat, as I like to do, and lo and behold, it was almost exactly where the opossum island was!! I somehow knew :D
This was after completing the game and re-opening it and sadly it ate a bunch of my map, and confused other bits (like the boat I drew then erased bottom right and replaced with the black heart) but oh well! At least I got my rats :D
My code was:
Yellow + yellow flag was where I found stamps
A little coloured square is where I found that colour
Red is for animals (green for gators only)
Hearts were for villages
Originally a star then swapped to a spiral for weathervanes
Blue arrow meant an underground path
Dark blue meant one-way path
At the top left I had a dark blue circle for the penguins circuit, and a little red drawing of a penguin, to the side I had another little bird for the oasis top left, various other little things but those were the main ones that I recall
Very sweet little game! Lovely graphics and excellent atmosphere, I loved the music that would play both from people with instruments and the clever little nudge that you're on the right path for a weathervane! Love the intractable things, like I only noticed towards the end that the little turtles would hide in their shell when you get near them, and I loved kicking around the gold coins (which also had excellent sound design!) Also the little mini-events like the dolphins, and once I even saw a whale <3 Lovely game!!
