Overall, been REALLY enjoying the game. Like damn this is good, though i can't help but notice like, a crazy and i mean CRAZY difficulty spike with Cerelea. Straight up, i entered biscotti after a reasonable amount of difficulty handling the enemies, to getting absolutely FLOORED by her. This is the part where i HAD to download the walkthrough zipfile provided.. only to learn her intended level to fight her is at level 14??
Mind you, i'm at level 9 right now (fighting EVERY random encounter that appeared during explorations btw), and the only enemies im aware of to fight are level FIVE. So i gotta grind another 5ish levels on underleveled enemies to get my stats to an intended scale, THEN figure out what spells i need or whatever.
IDK man. im just baffled at the level spike, like almost nothing happens between the kitsune fight and this (kitsune's recommended level is 10, level 9 isnt that far off so i handled it perfectly okay).
i guess let me know if i missed some area with like level 10+ enemies for me to grind?? i'm at a loss here. I would STILL do the grind because this game is still cool but this diff spike came out of left field, genuinely
Notes: i have been playing on normal difficulty so far, aka 1.0x difficulty.
Admittedly, checking the walkthrough guide does give some important info on counterplay for Cerelea, namely that wall smasher move dealing damage based on blocks, admittedly wouldn't have noticed that over the visual of my ass being beat.
Either way tho, she just has a HUGE stat advantage, and then also the area lacks the mana types that Vuu and Rose are most proficient in, like my god bruh. Maybe i just gotta play as T for this one tho
First of all thank you!
The game definitely needs more balancing updates, the WIP status shows through a bit because of the difficulty spike from Cerelea onward. Level 9 was the intended recommended level for her, but I'm not too surprised the walkthrough author recommended level 14 instead, several people have been having issues with her. In her case, I also need to make the Wall Smasher mechanic more obvious through visual effects...! To be honest, even the forest should be easier. This is something I'll be working on in the next update.
This is completely doable to be clear, but it's obviously easier for me knowing exactly how the game works and what to look out for. Don't hesitate to just lower the difficulty instead for now, nothing wrong with that!
And, thank you for letting me know!
