I'm also running the game through proton since I'm on Linux, but that shouldn't be causing an issue. If you'd like i can record what's happening for me
The issue is not with communication, I physically can't trigger this state so for the time being, so I can't fix it. No need to make a video. Hopefully I'll find it in the future.
