The instant action import is the only way that it opens, currently, since that’s the only place where it’s really used. The lack of ability to delete from it was a bug that’ll be fixed in the next update.

I hadn’t really considered being able to access it from other places/just to look at it. Do you think that’d be generally useful? When/where would you look for a button to do so, if it existed?

I'll start by providing the way I intended to use it.
My goal originally was to just start building up NPC factions, including having some more advanced NPC's using actual Lancer Mechs instead of the standard NPC mech archetypes. (The viability of that latter part, I'm not even sure is possible yet.) The reason for doing so, was so I could easily have multiple modules share enemy factions or even dialogue exclusive characters as a sort of multi story/module.

So, in the effort of making these NPC characters/factions, the first place I looked is where we players make our characters. The pilot roster.

Naturally, there isn't an NPC creation method there. But, that's the first place that comes to mind because that's the part of the UI the player's mind attributes to mech creation most strongly. Even if it isn't necessarily their mech.

So, my recommendation would be adding a kind of 'NPC Roster' section within or beneath the Pilot Roster button in the main menu. The benefits being:
1: Easy and intuitive to find.
2: You can readily look at your NPC roster and update them.
3: It'd allow you to sort them (like the actual pilot roster) so when you upload an NPC into a module, it's easier to find the ones you're looking for. (Especially when you have a LOT of them.)
4: Additionally, it'd just be nice for module makers to just have one centralized place where they can reliably make NPC's that they know they can use anywhere they need them.

So yes, I think it would be a great and valued addition to Lancer Tactics.

Also, again. Thank you for being so responsive and involved in the community you've fostered around this amazing project. I hope the best for you, my friend.

Thanks for writing that all out & the kind words! :) I’ll make a note to look at adding better NPC roster support/access, but it may be a somewhat low priority so will be a while before we get to it.
