Please do not create fake accounts/ratings to boost your own game (or tell your friends to). Because of our rating queue requirement it means that if you create a new account to try to boost your own game you create a bunch of fake ratings that negatively impact other participants. If we see future issues with your account you may be permanently banned from jams.

i just wanted to clarify that we haven’t created any alternate accounts to rate our own game, and we haven’t asked anyone else to do so either. we did share our game with some communities we’re in to invite people to play it, including people who might not be active in the itch.io scene, but we never encouraged anyone to create alternate accounts or manipulate ratings.
if there was something that looked suspicious from your end, we’d appreciate any guidance so that we can avoid unintentionally causing similar issues in the future. we want to make sure we’re following the jam rules.
