Hey there! Thank you for taking the time to play the game and write feedback :)

I think the number of invitations and the length of the day needs balancing for sure, the gameplay was inspired by those duck shooters often seen at carnivals which feature a lot of repeating characters and shooting a lot of targets! Since the categories for each day change (from a random pool) and get progressively more ambiguous we were thinking having characters repeat would still be interesting. Also the pool of characters changes over time to include some of the more wacky ones on days 4-5 :).  The focus of the game was more on the narrative conversations over several days and given the time constraints of the jam we could only add about 30 npcs but the focus is on variance and ability to fit into categories.

You have made a lot of characters for the jam time! My apologies if my first comment made the opposite impression.

Thank you for sharing the inspiration behind it. I understand now what the idea is.

What I mean is that at the beginning I picked only a few characters. Then the comment from God (:D if only the communication would be that easy) was that there's a lot of invitations left so I understood that I can select one character more than once. Because the characters repeat so much and there are so many invitations it broke the immersion for me. Initially it seemed like a busy street but then it is just flat 2d images going from side to side. Does that make sense? My personal opinion (which you can ignore, up to you) is that it would be more interesting to reduce the time per round (from 2 and a half minutes) and have characters "walk" from side to side once per round. That would be more engaging maybe.

Thank you for reading. I wish you a bright day.

Ah got it I see that it was more about the immersion breaking! I think we could reduce the time per round but I’m not sure I entirely agree about the repeats. But I really value your perspective on it and I think it’s something we could try and see how it feels to play :) It’s all a matter of personal taste haha. Thank you again for leaving feedback regardless I really appreciate it!
