i spent so much of my teens online scared out of my mind that i would lose friends due to being "wrong" about whatever discourse was happening, only to realize later in my life that none of it ever mattered at all.
yeah... *handshakes* i've been in the exact same boat. people will move on from these pointless arguments in a couple of years, because they'll get replaced by whatever argument is happening in the newest hot media property (tm)... but the effects of bullying over them will remain.
