Great start. Congrats on submitting a game!

I noticed a bug where sometimes after getting under a platform while falling the game puts me on top the platform.

It's cool that you've added a coyote time..

For improvements you cna work on the idea a bit and add something more interesting to interact with. Maybe a coin whic increase your time or maybe time only moves if you move or yout characters become more jumpy the less time you have -- something like this.

Check videos on making platformers (GMTK has nice demo on itch about platformers) and follow its tips.

For future jams you can have some parts of the game pre-made. Like a menu or character controller. And then during the jam come up with and idea and enhance you base template with new mechanics. That would save you a lot of time.

Also, if you make a web build more people will play your game.

Hey, thanks so much for playing and for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback! Really appreciate it.

I actually managed to fix the bugs you mentioned in my local project right after submitting, but since GMTk rules freeze updates during voting, I’ll have to wait until the jam wraps up to upload the fix.

I'm taking your advice to heart and expanding this into a much bigger project. I’m already working on new pixel art, tightening up the mechanics, making animations, and building out a full storyline—keeping the details secret for now, but I'm really excited about where it's going!

And 100% on the web build, I'm definitely bringing a browser version live as soon as the post-jam update drops so more people can try it. Thanks again for the awesome tips on jam prep and templates too; that’s super helpful for the next one!

Good luck with your project!
There are jams that focus specifically on finishing or enhancing existing projects. Like this one: https://itch.io/jam/portfolio-builders-jam-week-83 Check them out so more people could play your game!

Thank you very much. I'll look into that Jam and maybe join it in the near future.
