Hey! First of all, I want to say that the atmosphere and the art direction really stand out. I genuinely thought I was about to play a cozy café game... until I remembered the theme of this jam! 😄
I had a great time playing it, and I wrote down a few observations that I hope are helpful if you decide to keep developing it.
- Since the onboarding is explained in the game's description rather than inside the game, I had a hard time remembering the coffee-making sequence. I spent a good portion of my first shift figuring out the core gameplay loop instead of focusing on serving customers. A short in-game onboarding sequence would help players learn the workflow before the pace ramps up.
- The tip in the description—"Start a second brew while you finish the first drink. You'll need the head start when the rush hits."—is really valuable. However, I think it could be even more rewarding if players discovered that strategy naturally over multiple runs, especially since each run only lasts four minutes and the game has strong replayability. Alternatively, if you want every player to know about it, it could be introduced as part of the in-game onboarding instead of the page description.
- I found the coffee machine's audio feedback a little difficult to interpret. I wasn't always sure whether the sound indicated a successful brew or a failed one. A clearer distinction between success and failure sounds—or some additional visual feedback—could make the mechanic feel more intuitive.
Overall, I really enjoyed this entry. The countdown mechanic fits the café setting surprisingly well, and it creates a fun sense of escalating pressure without losing the game's charm. I'll definitely be coming back to try and beat my high score. Great job!
