The exploration is the best part of the game. It reminds me of classic Atari games, when the multi-room format was first being introduced! I liked hunting around for the drops of blood.
That said, there are a lot of screens where there doesn't seem to be anything specific to do, so you just end up backtracking to pick up more garlic.
The graphics are nice and colorful, but the assets are not perfectly matched. Mixing pixel art in different resolutions tends to create a jarring effect.
