I purchased v2.0.1 for MacOS last year. It no longer works (does not save transcription to text).
How can I update the software? Do I need to purchase it all over again?

When you purchase this tool you get access to all future updates for free.
You just need to download the latest version, which I published recently. It is now at v2.7.2 for both Windows and macOS.
Your itchio account should allow you to download it without any issues.
