Hi A2C3! I was curious and tried out your demo. The first wave went smoothly. In the second wave, things got hairy pretty quickly lol! It's a fun game! Next time, I'll have to make sure I have coverage a little farther from base.
Anyway, I wanted to introduce myself because I do freelance game audio. If you are interested, I could help you shape the audio half of the experience to feel more modern and immersive. Unless I'm mistaken, I think I get what you are going for: a futuristic feel that combines mechanical, electrical, and electronic elements. I'm not sure if you are looking to go retro futuristic, or modern hyper-realistic like the Hollywood style. I'd be happy to have a conversation about it if that's something on your radar. I'm confident if you brought me on board to focus on music, sfx, and implementation, I could help you draw the players into the immersion in a really satisfying way. I have worked in Godot before. As a Reaper DAW user, I align with the small footprint Godot mentality.
Either way, keep up the great work! Bastion Grid is a cool game and I think a lot of people are going to enjoy it.
Kind Regards,
Ryan McQuinn

Thank you for trying the demo and for the thoughtful feedback. I really appreciate you reaching out. I’m not quite ready to bring on additional audio help for Bastion Grid right now, but I’d be happy to stay in touch and keep you in mind for possible future collaborations. I have several more projects in the planning and outlining stages that will be more in depth and require a more coherent audio and sound treatments.
Thanks again!
