Regarding this bug:

We actually managed to fix this one after the submission deadline, but unfortunately we didn't have enough time to push those fixes into the jam build before submissions closed.
We'll also definitely take your suggestions about the visuals and controls into account if we continue developing the game. The comments about readability and the keyboard layout make a lot of sense.
