Haven't seen a ton of narrative games during this jam so that's a nice change of pace from all the stressful countdown games x)

When writing a narrative, be careful to not fall into the trap of directly telling the reader what is happening on screen all the time !

(spoilers for the story below)

The limited time the forest spirit has left isn't really shown/explained well inside of the story itself, the only part where that spirit actually shows that its time is coming to an end is at the VEEEERY end of the story after it "spends" all of its energy fighting the monster offscreen !

To really reinforce the idea of the forest spirit having limited time/getting weaker as the time goes, instead of directly telling the reader that "she must have used up all her power to defeat that thing" and going from seemingly being completely fine to dead right at the end, try to show her powers gradually weakening as the time goes on from the start!

Make it so it sprouts less trees/flowers with each scene that passes, make her slowly lose her colors after each scenes, SHOW us what the narrative is without directly telling the viewer what happened/is happening !

(spoilers end)

This is a cute game ! The narrative work needs a better structure but i'm impressed by the effort you gave into this ! Well done ^v^

That's really good feedback and I'll definitely keep that in mind. If I update the game i will try to make it more clear that is what's happening because I do agree that it comes out of nowhere and isn't really explained / hinted at beforehand.
