I know some players would love to restart from the beginning, but when rng is unfair, I think it's better to only restart the turn. The first challengers are made to discover the mechanic so I think they are not very fun to replay again and again, but I think the idea could work with challengers with a more complex strategy and more special cards. I love Inscryption so I understand the feeling you're talking about ^^
