Not sure how I did it, but I won! \o/ The rules were confusing at first, and to be honest even after I was more familiar, there were some details that still felt opaque. Why was Jormangandr regaining health, why was it taking that much damage, is it following me, etc… So I relied mostly on intuition, and try to keep distance with the serpent to enhance station’s shield and tenacity, occasionally boosting that with talents. And I’m not sure the math, but suddenly Jormangandr was slayed, hurray! Maybe the game could use more feedback to make more clear why some numbers go up, other go down… But it’s an interesting system! I enjoyed the idea that I was not supposed to slay the monster, but instead had a role of support for others to do the job. At first upgrading myself seemed useless, but since it’s a requisite for upgrading other stations, there was a nice balance between making a station stronger or borrowing some of that strength so that it can be spread elsewhere. Once I got that dynamic, the game was surprisingly not too complex.
