This entry is interesting - I don't think I've ever seen a game where you put back bodies in coffins. That's really cool! I see this being like a dead-pan comedy show where the gravedigger is exhausted from having to dig up bodies of dead heroes trying to defeat his villainous higher ups. Maybe it could be a show critiquing the nature of capitalism and war profiteering! I'm excited to see where you take it from here! Let's have a look...
Creativity:
Putting dead bodies back into coffins is such a cool idea - it's a unique idea that I think you could definitely expand upon later. You could have enemies that are trying to talk you out of burying a person's skeleton for some necromancy, or a witch trying to bribe you into making concoctions with the bones of your skeletons you're burying. Either way - I see SO much potential in this idea honestly. Shoot, I might have to take inspiration from you for my next jam.
Enjoyment:
I had such a fun time exploring this game honestly. I think this is a slept on game, especially since you made it solo dev with the time you were given. You were able to create such interesting gameplay and concepts in such a short time period - it's really cool to see!
Narrative:
I think there's so many different directions you could go with this idea. You could have a comedy about a tired 9-5 worker, a mystery to see who is killing all these people, an espionage to see if you can resurrect these skeletons, there's SO many different ways you can go, and I'm very excited to see where you go from there!
Artwork:
I think the main reason why I initially thought of a dead-pan comedy was your art style - the main character looks like he's so tired of his job lol and I love it. I think you can definitely expand upon that idea further by adding dents in the coffins too. This is great!
Audio:
Gloomy sound effects I think would enhance the depressed, but funny atmosphere even more, like rattling every time you pick up a skeleton or creaking every time you put it in a coffin. There's a lot you can do here, and I'm excited to see how you expand it further!
Super cool idea! I can't wait to see what you do in the future! Even though you didn't have much time and you might've been overloaded, I was VERY interested - Keep it up, I can't wait to see you next year!
