Weird is GOOD for this kind of game. It totally fits the horror vibe and I LIKE your apparition because it feels like something hurtful and uncanny at the same time. Like it fits that you’re dealing with a missing young person dealing with bullying and that’s a part of the game - connecting pieces.
And, in solo games, there’s no cheating when you embrace the experience and you certainly did!
If I were to do a doomed typewriter sounding apparition I’d probably be tempted to draw someone with a broken typewriter for a head or someone with typewriter keys in their abdomen. Thinking about it more, I may consider having them draw typewriters behind them like Jacob Marley or replace the bottom of their head with streaming paper that shows typed lettering. As if they can’t speak and their words come out on that paper instead.
