Being a zip file called "final_FINAL_v7_ACTUAL.zip" is the most accurate joke anyone who has ever done a game jam will read all week. And you drew the thing: a little zip with arms and legs and a face. Ridiculous and lovely.

"The jam page IS the level" is a genuinely creative bit of level design thinking. Climbing from #1061 to #1 as a platformer, with other people's ratings as the obstacles, is an idea that could only exist in this specific jam. That's the sort of premise that wins categories.

The stationery presentation is beautiful too. Everything looks like post-its and notebook pages taped to a board, the title in black and purple serif, a crooked red stamp reading SUBMITTED JUST NOW, a dotted bar running from #1061 to #1, and the menu as coloured notes. The LOCAL SCORE SLIP panel reading like a receipt fits perfectly. And there's a button called PRESERVATION sitting in the main menu next to Settings and Credits, plus a scoreboard that says "Verified by this device", local, no server. Even without playing I can see you thought about the theme beyond the joke.

And here's my problem: I couldn't start it. Not START CLIMB, not PRESERVATION, not any other button, single or double click. Same diagnosis as several entries here, the play area only occupies the top band of the window with the rest black, which points to a canvas at a higher resolution than the display and clickable areas offset from where they're drawn. The note text is also tiny, so I couldn't read the mode descriptions.

Of every premise in this jam that I failed to actually play, this is the one I was most annoyed to lose. "You are the submission zip climbing your own jam's ranking" deserved to work. If you patch the canvas scaling, reply here and I'll come straight back and rate it properly.

Thank you, seriously. This is an incredibly thoughtful comment, and I’m glad the ridiculous little ZIP landed properly.

The game has been working correctly in Chrome and for the other players I’ve heard from, so this appears to be a specific iframe/display-scaling edge case rather than the build failing universally. Your description of the canvas and clickable areas scaling differently gives me a strong lead.

Could you tell me your browser, browser zoom percentage, screen resolution, and operating-system display scaling? I’m going to harden the canvas resizing and input conversion either way, and I’ll reply here when the update is live.
