This game is deliberately minimalist — I think the idea is for players to figure out the rules on their own.
If you came to the rating page hoping to find a rulebook, I’d recommend trying it out for yourself instead.
I’m not very good at puzzle games, but even I managed to figure out the rules and complete it — and it was absolutely worth my time.

Yes, we did hope that players would learn the mechanics as they played, however we are aware that we didn't do a great job with this, due to a lack of time. We were hoping to have more levels to better explain the mechanics (or at least have the existing ones designed in such a way that the player explores and learns better). Right now it does come across as deliberately minimalist as you said, but it wasn't completely our intention, we would have liked to make it a bit simpler to understand as it is a slightly non-intuitive concept to grasp, and we wanted more focus on the levels themselves.
